The Warner family moved to the pond in May of 2002. Kristen and her family became members of the Spectacle Pond Association when a neighbor shared with them the history and mission of the association. Kristen has served as President and Vice President for the SPA and now sits as a board member. Kristen teaches eighth grade social studies and after a long day at work enjoys coming home to a gorgeous sunset over the water. Kristen remembers the first time she was shown the house and looked out the picture window, and being a mom of two young children and a Seinfeld fan stated, "serenity now." Serenity - the perfect one word description that simply puts why the Warners made an offer on the house. The Warner family has enjoyed the lake year round - in winter, sledding down the "cliff" hoping not to crash through the ice, and in summer, going out on the boat fishing or dropping anchor and just floating around enjoying life. A friend of Kristen's often remarks when he comes to visit that he feels like he is on vacation. Many who live on the pond may agree with that sentiment.
