What makes a healthy pond?

A healthy pond exists when there is a balanced ecosystem and good stream flow. As to Spectacle Pond, that means that water has to flow in through a feeder steam, Bennett Brook, and out to Gilson Brook; that also means that water quality has to be monitored, along with that of fish and other species.
